SLIP-ON WELDED CLOSE TOLERANCE CENTRALIZERS
this centralizer features an end collar with evenly spaced integral set screws that allow the centralizer to be pulled into the hole; a stop collar is not required. It is recommended for use on casing grades of P-110 and lower.
Hinged Welded Semi Rigid Bow centralizers are available in sizes 4½" to 20".
Recommended for use with all standard casing grades.
When solid centralizers are used they have no tolerance to localised borehole deviations or restrictions and if the external diameter is reduced in anticipation of these problems, there is little worth in the 'Standoff' ratios obtained. There is the additional fear of hanging up or fouling at e.g. shoe overlaps and casing windows.
Currently favoured solid products are extremely expensive resulting from no competition due to Patent restrictions. Claims of ease of running appear to have little to do with low friction material and cast profile but seem more a product of the actual physical dimensions.
